Théophane Dimier was born in Lyon, France, in 1997. He studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL, Switzerland). He received the BSc. in 2017 and the MSc. in 2019, with a specialization in Energy Conversion and Renewable Energy. During his studies he worked on the integration of an automotive drive and later on the development of a Double Sided Linear Induction Motor, in the framework of the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition.
He worked as a Master Thesis intern at Brusa Elektronik AG (SG, Switzerland) on an analytical performance calculator for Permanent Magnet Assisted Reluctance Machine (PMARel). Then, he worked in the same company as Motor Model Engineer.
Since March 2020, he is a PhD student at the Laboratory for High Power Electronics Systems, working on Core losses of magnetic devices for power electronics.
